To the
Certified Pest Control Operators Association of Florida. The Pest Control
Industry is unique. People in Pest Control are special. There is a
rare thread that runs through all of us. We are professionals that will help
each other in times of need. Without thinking twice, we share information
with our competitors, who, over time become dear friends.
CPCO was
founded in 1994 by ten pest-control operators. The organizations was formed
to more fairly represent the certified pest-control operator, who was
usually the small or single man operator. The original founders felt that
the Florida Pest-Control Association, at that time, represented the larger
companies. The consensus of the founders was to create an association
focusing on fundamentals no-frills, low dues, simple operation with basic
conventions. The reason for the name Certified Pest-Control Operators (C.P.C.O.)
signified the purpose of the association, that being to represent the
individual certified pest-control operator, no matter what size business
they worked in or owned.
Since it's inception C.P.C.O. wanted to be the
"little big association", big in numbers, yet staying true to the
fundamental simplicity that carried it through the years and will continue
to do so into the future.
